Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the online game “Iron Crown” and related services provided by the operator (the “Service”), and the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the operator and members.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- A “member” is a person who has agreed to these Terms and signed up through Google or Kakao login or through email verification.
- A “game account” is an estate, together with its progress records, that a member has created on a server or received by transfer, and holds.
- “Jade” is a paid and free currency used only within the Service. “Stored items” are products received through purchases that accumulate in the storage box.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms)
These Terms take effect when they are posted on the Service screen and the member agrees to them. The operator may amend these Terms to the extent that doing so does not violate applicable laws. When amending them, the operator will give notice within the Service from 7 days before the effective date (30 days before, for changes unfavorable to members). A member who does not agree to the changes may stop using the Service and delete their membership.
Article 4 (Sign-up and Login)
- Sign-up is complete when you log in with Google or Kakao, or confirm an email verification code, and then agree to these Terms. The operator stores only the unique identifier provided by the login provider and, if you chose email login, that email address. It does not collect phone numbers or profiles. For details, see the Privacy Notice (Collection and Use of Personal Information).
- Persons under 14 years of age (full age) may not sign up.
- Members must keep their login methods secure. The operator is not responsible for damage caused by a member's failure to do so.
- The member number is a public identifier used to receive transfer invitations. It is not a means of authentication.
Article 5 (Game Accounts)
A member may create up to 2 game accounts per server themselves, and may hold up to 3 in total, including those received by transfer. An estate started as a guest without a login method is deleted, and cannot be restored, if it goes more than 48 hours without being accessed before it has captured its first village. The game world is a space shared by all users, so time, production and battles continue even while you are not connected.
Article 6 (Paid Products and Jade)
- The price and contents of products are as shown on the purchase screen. Purchased jade and items are delivered to the game account selected at the time of purchase.
- Jade cannot be refunded as cash or separately passed to another member. Free jade is spent first, and paid jade is spent in the order it was purchased (oldest first).
- Unused paid products may be withdrawn (cancelled) within 7 days of the purchase date. For products that have already been used, in whole or in part, withdrawal is limited to the extent permitted by applicable laws.
- If a payment is cancelled or refunded, the products delivered for that order are taken back. If they have already been used, the operator may suspend use of the game account while it checks the payment and usage records.
Article 7 (Transfer of Game Accounts)
- A member may transfer ownership of an entire game account to another member only through the procedure provided by the Service. A transfer is completed 24 hours after it is accepted, and either party may cancel it before completion.
- A game account whose transfer has been completed cannot be transferred again for 30 days. The original purchaser's payment records do not pass to the new owner.
- Any deal in which something of value is exchanged outside the game is a matter between the parties, and the operator will not reverse or compensate for any resulting damage.
Article 8 (Prohibited Conduct)
Members must not: use another person's login method without permission; use the Service by abnormal means such as automation programs, exploiting bugs or attacking the servers; make payments with another person's payment method without permission or obtain fraudulent refunds; direct abuse, hate speech or harassment at other users; impersonate the operator; or violate applicable laws or these Terms.
Article 9 (Restrictions on Use)
If a member violates Article 8, or if an ownership dispute or payment check requires it, the operator may suspend or restrict use of the game account concerned. The reason for and duration of the restriction will be communicated through account notifications, and the member may object to it.
Article 10 (Changes to and Suspension of the Service)
The operator may change the content of the Service or suspend it temporarily for game balance, maintenance, outage response and similar reasons, and will give advance notice wherever possible. If a paid service is discontinued, the operator will give notice 30 days in advance and handle unused paid currency in accordance with applicable laws.
Article 11 (Deleting Your Membership)
- A member may request deletion of their membership at any time on the account settings screen after re-authenticating. If there is an account transfer in progress, a payment or refund check, or a review by the operator, the request can be made once that is finished.
- The deletion becomes final 30 days after the request. During that period, use of game accounts, transfers and payments are suspended, and the member can cancel the deletion by logging in with a linked login method.
- Once the deletion is final, all game accounts held are closed and cannot be restored. The estates in the game world remain in a dormant state, and the lord's name is changed to “Departed Lord”.
- On deletion, any remaining jade and stored items are forfeited and not refunded. Withdrawal of unused paid products must be requested before deleting your membership.
- Login information is deleted without delay once the deletion is final. Records that applicable laws require to be kept are retained for the periods stated in the Privacy Notice.
Article 12 (Limitation of Liability)
The operator is not liable for damage caused by events beyond its control, such as natural disasters or outages at login providers or payment providers. However, the operator is liable, in accordance with applicable laws, for damage caused by its own intent or negligence.
Article 13 (Dispute Resolution)
Disputes relating to use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea (대한민국), and if a lawsuit is filed, it will be resolved in the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act (민사소송법).
